This volume, part of a series, is the result of several years of painstaking work. Over more than two years members of Sittingbourne Heritage Museum’s research study group studied photographs, directories, newspapers, old postcards, parish magazines, census and other records including ancient deeds in order to provide a historical record of the occupancy of High Street premises in Sittingbourne. This in itself provides a tool for the researcher in the dating of photographs and documents.
